Personal Fitness Plan Reflection

  • Did you give this assignment your best effort? Why or why not?

Indeed I did. I did so because I have spent so much time learning about exercising and being fit and creating a plan, it would really just be a disadvantage to me if I didn’t put in my best.

  • Did you keep track of your meals (calories, nutrients, etc) during the 4 weeks using MyFitnessPal? Why or why not?

No. Because I knew from when we used a meal tracker that I did not eat over my calorie limit, but I did eat mostly the same foods (grains, meats, dairy) and that I needed to have a little more diversity and different proportions (bigger fruits, vegetables sizes, smaller meats, grains, dairy, etc.).

  • Were you prepared to create your Personal Fitness Plan? If so, how? If not, what additional information did you need?

Yes I was, because we learned all about different kinds of exercises and how they were different and how they helped us and how to not harm ourselves while exercising, so I was prepared.

  • Were you supported throughout the 4 weeks of your PFP? If so, who supported you? If not, where/when did you need support the most?

Every one but the last one, because for the first three weeks I had help, and that was awesome, but by the fourth week I had enough will power to do it myself.

  • Did you use your Accountability Team? Was your Accountability Team helpful during this time? What was helpful?

I did use my family, but I did not use a school mate or mentor. I found a family member more helpful ‘cause they were actually there with me, and so it was easier for them to notice if I wasn’t exercising.

  • Did you meet your goals? Why or why not?

I met my goal of jogging for over a minute and then resting, I did not reach my goal of 15 full-on pushups but I got from doing zero to doing ten so I am pretty pleased with that, and I got from 30 sec six-inches to 45-50 sec six-inches (not quite to my goal, but I am still happy with it). The reason is that some days I missed exercising so I wasn’t able to strengthen myself in the rest of time given.

Thanksgiving Report

  • How was your Thanksgiving Break?
It was awesome! My family and I traveled down to Provo and spent THanksgiving weekend over at my Grandma's. It was so much fun.
  • Did you travel?
Indeed we did! Two hours! :)
  • Did your family/friends think you were crazy exercising over Thanksgiving break?
Not really, 'cause I arranged it so I exercised all the other days of the week.
  • Did you enjoy taking some time to exercise over the break or was it a burden? Why?
It actually was really simple, because one of the exercises happened because we were delivering fliers and we had to run/jog the whole time. So that was fun. And also I had dance practice as well. Otherwise, I just did my regular exercises!
